Description
I spent an entire night shoot the phases of the red moon eclipse Jan 31, 2018 (a Winter scene) . The full moon was taken at my backyard, then went out in the middle of the night somewhere I can see the moon eclipse better (I have large trees on my property). Well, I didn't dress warm enough so after I came home in the morning, it took me all day to recover.
Note: each moon was taken by camera. Some process to increase image sharpness. The moon did not travel in a V-shape, that part is my personal take. Most people like to do a diagonal or circle display. Yes, it is a composite (selecting the best of 7 shots of the moon, and one shot with the stars--the white dots are not dust from the lens. The location of stars is accurate at that moment in time. ). How else can you do it? LOL

Very clever Alinna.....I envy your abilities!
Alinna Lee replied:
Thank you Stuart. This was done when I did not know how to do layers and layer mask. Very limited ability with a limited lens (300 mmx1.5 tube)π Just a lot of dumb naive gusto. lol π
